Presenters: Andrea Gregori, Director of Community Engagement at Tri-Cities Opera & Tim Gleason, Artistic Director at KNOW Theatre
Students will take a peek behind the curtain to see what makes performance venues tick. Beginning at Tri-Cities Opera, students will see staging and design spaces, tour the costume shop, and participate in a voice lesson lead by TCO’s very own, Andrea Gregori, followed by a brief q&a. From there, students will move to KNOW Theatre, where Artistic Director Tim Gleason will lead them through sets for “The Dumb Waiter” and “The Zoo Story,” along the way, addressing what it takes to put on a play in a professional setting.
Open to students grades 6-12 and families. Free for BCAC student and family members. $15 for the general public. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, please email awarfield@broomearts.org or call 607-723-4620.
