You are cordially invited to the engagement celebration of Acis and Galatea, where passion and jealousy will collide as the envious Polyphemus intervenes to claim Galatea as his own. Will Acis and Galatea’s love prevail?
One of Handel’s most beloved stage works gets a contemporary cinematic retelling from director David Lefkowich. Filmed in various locations around Annapolis, this updated production features a wedding, dueling guitars, and highlights the resilience of love in the face of jealousy and death.
Acis and Galatea is a co-production of Annapolis Opera and Tri-Cities Opera. Acis and Galatea was conceived and directed by David Lefkowich for Out of The Box Opera and is being presented by Annapolis Opera and Tri-Cities Opera under agreement with David Lefkowich and Out of the Box Opera.
