biography

Tenor Quinn Bernegger has been recognized at regional houses and concert venues around the country for his “great vocal agility” and “excellent characterization.” Equally at home in opera, musical theater, and early music, Mr. Bernegger has been seen at Chautauqua Opera as Nanki-Poo in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, at Tri-Cities Opera in supporting roles in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd and Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, and at Opera Saratoga in supporting roles in The Merry Widow and in the chamber premiere of David T. Little’s one-act Vinkensport, or the Finch Opera. He has received high praise from Opera News for his portrayal of Henrik Egerman in Des Moines Metro Opera’s and Madison Opera’s productions of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. This past summer he would have made his hometown debut singing Rolf in The Sound of Music at The Glimmerglass Festival.
