2017-2018 Preview Gala

We are blowing away the gray of winter with our Preview Gala announcement of our 2017-2018 season on March 25, 2017 at 6:30PM.

Morris Robinson will host as we unveil our coming season! Recognized for his sublime, resonant voice and powerful stage presence, Mr. Robinson was once an All-American football player. From running back to rumbling bass he now performs at the great opera houses of the world, including The Metropolitan Opera.

This extraordinary event features a delectable gourmet tapas menu (created by P.S. Restaurant) with each course themed around the productions in our coming season. You’ll hear selections from each opera, have the chance to bid on extravagant and luxurious silent auction items, and revel in an evening of opera-themed fun.

Complimentary red, white, and sparkling wines (provided by LiquorTown) will be selected by the chef to perfectly pair with your meal; or enjoy the top-shelf cash bar.

Glimpse the spectacular new artwork and listen as our fabulous Resident Artists sing selections from the coming operas.

Can you guess what is coming based on this delectable menu?

First Course:

Succulent, house-made cavatelli and fresh ciliegine (mozzarella) in a smokey, scorched tomato sauce. Finished with grated Asiago.

Second Course:

Delicately crafted, chilled mango spring roll over an asian pork & slaw salad. Dressed with a sweet mélange of garlic, rice vinegar, and red chili.

Third Course:

Crisp, orange-horseradish-crusted, jumbo shrimp over a quinoa pilaf medley. Finished with a Grand Marnier l’orange sauce.

Dessert:

Sumptuous vanilla custard topped with a crackling layer of caramelized cane sugar. Presented on a painted plate with chocolate covered strawberries.
