You may or may not know that putting on an opera is an expensive proposition. Putting on opera and operating a training company that helps create the opera stars of the future is even more expensive. Ticket sales just don’t cover the costs involved in preparing the singers and presenting the operas you want to see. To make it all work we need your help. Individual donations account for more than ten percent of our annual income. That’s close to our income from either single ticket sales, subscription sales, or set and costume rental income. Your gift is a very important part of helping keep TCO alive and well.

Greater Binghamton has its own, Tri-Cities Opera, a jewel in our community. Ticket sales alone cannot cover the expenses of bringing the quality of great opera to the stage that our community members expect. We can only count on ticket sales to cover 25% of our operating budget.
